Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. – On Mother’s Day weekend, Ballet Palm Beach performs the classic rags to riches love story of Cinderella. Underscored by Sergei Prokofiev, audiences of all ages will enjoy the hilarious antics of the evil stepsisters, the magic of the Fairy Godmother and the radiance of Cinderella as she is discovered by her prince charming at the Royal Ball. Performances are on Sat. May 7, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. and Sun. May 8, 2016 at 4 p.m. at the Eissey Campus Theatre at Palm Beach State College. “Cinderella is an all time favorite story and a great way to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend. We hope to bring you a little magic through this beautiful ballet,” says artistic director Colleen Smith.

The company last performed Cinderella in 2012 and has since added new dancers and enhanced the choreography. The role of Cinderella will be danced by Madeleine Miller. Aaron Melendrez will dance as Prince Charming. These young dancers’ chemistry was proven in recent ballet, Gatsby, which received exceptional reviews in the Palm Beach Arts Paper.
