Palm Beach Gardens, FL – The newly named Ballet Palm Beach performs its first production of the ballet season: The Curtain Rises. Four works, all unique to Ballet Palm Beach, come together in this soulful program. The Heavens Declare, set to music by Edgar Meyer; Three Tangos to music by Astor Piazzolla; In the Mood, set to Glenn Miller’s big band hits, and a premiere of Colleen Smith’s Simple Symphony, set to Benjamin Britten’s infectious work by the same name.  “This is such an exciting program.  You don’t need to know ballet to “get it.”, says Lily Ojea, dancer for Ballet Palm Beach. The company will perform at the Eissey Campus Theatre at Palm Beach State College on Friday, October 25 at 7:30PM.  Tickets begin at $15 and can be purchased at balletpalmbeach.org  or by calling 561-207-5900.
