Palm Beach Gardens, FL – Ballet Palm Beach, formerly Florida Classical Ballet Theatre, returns to the stage for Valentine’s Day weekend with its sweepingly popular Romeo & Juliet. Set to Prokofiev’s poignant score, this Shakespearean masterpiece takes breathtaking form as it is translated into the lyricism and passion of dance. “The chemistry on stage is incredible! The performance will leave audience members with a deeper understanding of Shakespeare’s greatest love story,” says Claudia Cravey. Ballet Palm Beach’s Romeo & Juliet brings entertainment to audiences of all ages with action packed sword fighting, romance and drama. Three performances only, on February 14, 7:30pm, February 15, 2pm and 7:30pm at the Eissey Campus Theatre at Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach Gardens. Four resident artists will be dancing the leading roles including Lily Ojea as the beautiful Juliet and Rogelio Corrales as Romeo, Jared Jacoby as Benvolio and Marshall Levin playing the part of Paris. Trainee Eric Emerson will perform the part of Mercutio.
