Ballet Palm Beach Opens With Mixed Bill ‘Snow White & Other Works’

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. –Ballet Palm Beach’s season opens with “Snow White and Other Works,” on Saturday, Oct. 22 and Sunday, Oct. 23 at the Eissey Campus Theatre. This mixed bill features “Snow White,” Balanchine bravado, and two new works from guest choreographers. Tickets begin at $19 and can be purchased online at balletpalmbeach.org or by calling 561.814.5598.

Opening the show is Balanchine’s high-spirited “Tschaikovsky Pas de Deux.” Leslie Peck, esteemed répétiteur from the Balanchine Trust, set the beloved classic on company dancers. “To perform a Balanchine piece is a privilege not taken lightly,” says artistic director, Colleen Smith. “We are excited to bring such a classic to our community.”

Next, Ballet Palm Beach welcomes guest choreographers, Roger Van Fleteren and Donna Murray, as they present neoclassical and contemporary works, “unRAVELed” and “Space between Words.”

“Snow White” closes the performance and is the fourth original story ballet created by Smith. A fantastical adaption of the Grimm’s fairy tale, “Snow White” follows the adventures of the exiled princess hunted by a jealous queen.
